Case Study
Stapeley & District Parish Council
Accessible Website Design & Development for Local Government

The Brief
Stapeley & District Parish Council needed a modern, public-facing digital platform to serve their local community. In addition to being a welcoming space for residents, the site had to comply with strict public sector web accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines) to ensure the content was usable for everyone. Crucially, the council members also needed a platform that was straightforward to manage, allowing them to independently upload official documentation, publish meeting agendas, and share local news updates without technical difficulty.
What We Did
We worked closely with the parish council to build an engaging, fully compliant digital hub that bridges the gap between the council and its residents.
Our work included:
- Accessible Web Design: Building on WordPress with bespoke features to eliminate accessibility barriers and meet web standards.
- Streamlined Document Management: Creating a clear and structured backend system that makes uploading and categorising council PDFs quick and simple.
- Optimised User Experience: Designing an intuitive layout so residents can quickly find essential local services, public notices, and contact information.
- Robust WordPress Build: Implementing a secure, responsive framework that performs seamlessly across all devices.
The Result
The new Stapeley & District Parish Council website is a clean, compliant, and highly reliable asset for the local community. It successfully balances a professional, public-sector layout with modern design elements.
Thanks to the intuitive WordPress dashboard and custom file-sharing features, council members can now confidently manage their own public records, ensuring local residents are kept informed with transparent, up-to-date community information.
